Contact details — your name, email address, phone number, and street address, provided when you schedule a book donation pickup, request the bookmobile for an event, or contact us.
Purchase details — items and shipping information when you buy from our online shop.
Basic usage data — standard web logs (browser type, pages visited) used to keep the site working well.

How we use your information

To schedule and carry out book donation pickups and bookmobile events.
To send you status updates about your scheduled pickup, including by text message if you provide a phone number (see below).
To respond to your questions and fulfill shop orders.

Text messages (SMS)

When you provide your phone number while scheduling a book donation pickup — through our website form or verbally by phone — you consent to receive text message updates about that pickup, such as on-the-way notices, arrival confirmations, and thank-you messages.

Message frequency: typically 2–4 messages per scheduled pickup. This is not a recurring subscription program.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of donating or of any purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — for example, our scheduling and routing software and our text-message delivery provider — and only for the purposes described above, or when required by law.

Data retention & security

We keep pickup and contact records only as long as needed to operate the program and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect them.

Your choices

You may ask us to update or delete your contact information, or opt out of text messages (reply STOP), at any time using the contact details below.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
